At Lenah Valley Primary School there is strong sense of identity that has been shaped over the last 7 decades by relationships built by attending families, students and teachers. Building and maintaining this identity provides everyone (students, teachers and parents) with direction and positive feelings of worth.
In recent years explicit teaching of social skills based on our four values of Respect, Positive Relationships, Resilience and Achievement have further enhanced our identity within and outside of the school.
Teachers collaboratively plan together to provide a whole school social skills program that is consistent and based on need with prompt language to engage and reinforce explicit teachings.
Our focus is on creating ethical, active and engaged community members as lifelong participants both at a local and global level.
